The City of Beverly Hills has been in existence since January 28, 1914, when it was incorporated. Many of Beverly Hills’s attractions are very well known. The two most famous ones are Beverly Hills Country Club, where a golfer just might find him or herself “teeing up” right next to a celebrity (past and present)and Rodeo Drive, where one can at least visit the shops that the stars frequent, if not actually buy something from one of them.

Other points of interest in Beverly Hills include the American Friends of the Israel Museum, located at 315 South Beverly Drive, Suite 214and the Robinson Virginia Gardens. These beautiful botanical gardens are located at 1008 Elden Way. One can also visit the Art Du Voyage. The famous “Hollywood” sign is visible from practically anywhere in Beverly Hills and you can take pictures of it and the surrounding area.

Beverly Hills has a good selection of single-family homes, of which the Spanish style of architecture is predominant; however, it may interest you to know that there are more multi-family homes—apartments, town homes and condominiums, than there are individual residences. For this reason, a variety of architectural styles have been utilized, such as the unique 1930 art-deco style.

The Beverly Hills Unified School District serves Beverly Hills. Students attend one of four schools that house Grades K-8, then go on to Beverly Hills High School, which is the only high school in the District (yes, is the same one that received so much attention in Beverly Hills, 90210). Marymount High School, located in nearby Westwood, is very close to Beverly Hills.

Residents can also choose from several private schools in Beverly Hills. These include Good Shepherd School, a Pre-K through 8th grade parochial school and part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles), Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy, Emanuel Academy of Beverly Hills and Page Private School.
