Littlerock is a small town that calls itself "the Fruit Basket of Antelope Valley." This is because there are many fruit orchards, roadside fruit stands, and "u-pick" farms located in and around this beautiful area. Littlerock is only one hour away from Los Angeles, however, and it is very easy to drive to Los Angeles. If you live in Los Angeles, you are only a short drive from any of the above-mentioned places where you can buy fresh fruit to take back to enjoy and share with your family and friends.

Littlerock's location in Antelope Valley puts you in close proximity to the many attractions that are available in this region of Southern California. Neighboring Palmdale has the Dry Town Water Park, an "aquatic amusement park" with pools for splashing, water rides for riding, and generally just lots of ways to get wet and cool off on a summer's day.

Those who prefer winter sports or who just like to have fun all year long can take advantage of the Mountain High Ski Area, which is located near Littlerock. Those who enjoy "roughing it" (even if their idea of that is parking their self-contained RV), can do so at The Big Rock Creek Camp. Also close to Littlerock is an amazing and unusual rock formation, whose unique shape may remind one of a punchbowl. For this reason, it has been named "The Devil's Punchbowl".

Littlerock Dam contains the waters of a lake that offers opportunities for those who enjoy fishing and boating. There is also an exotic feline breeding compound in Littlerock, where lions, tigers, and other "jungle cats" are cared for and allowed to mate. The cubs are raised and later sent to zoos and animal parks. Breeding males and females are also loaned to these venues for the purpose of increasing the current population. These measures subsequently make it unnecessary for these animals, more and more of which are becoming endangered, to be captured and brought out of their natural habitat

Five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school are located in Littlerock. In addition, there are at least seven schools that provide private school including parochial and "faith-based" educations.
