Los Feliz, CA Real Estate

Los Feliz is a district of Los Angeles County. Los Feliz is home to the Griffith Observatory. Here, visitors can peer to giant telescopes and literally see into space. Characteristics of planets or some of the millions of individual stars that make up the Milky Way can be clearly seen.

Griffith Park is also located in the Los Feliz Area district. This park is the home of the famous Los Angeles Zoo where Reggie the alligator (see the article on Harbor City) can be seen. The Derby Restaurant, which is the last remaining location of the famous "Brown Derby" Restaurant is also located is Los Feliz. Fans of the old "I Love Lucy" show will remember the "Brown Derby" as the restaurant where she managed to bump into a waiter who subsequently spilled a pie all over William Holden. The Los Feliz area also hosts an annual street fair. Entertainment, which includes live music, and exhibits of all types can be found at this venue.

Those wishing to live in this vibrant area can choose from many different types of homes. Some are very contemporary or modern, others can hold their own with the lovely estate homes that can be found in other parts of Los Angeles, and some are stately older homes which have been updated and boast all the modern conveniences and amenities. There are also a number of apartment complexes and condominium properties to choose from. In addition, some homes are designed to serve as multi-family dwellings.

Two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school serve students living in the Los Feliz area. Los Feliz is also home to the private Le Lycee Francais De Los Angeles, a school for students in Grades 2-12. Students attending this school are "immersed" in the French language and culture as classes are taught in both French and English and emphasis is placed on all things French.
