home buyersIncorporated in 1921, the city of Lynwood is home to Plaza Mexico, a shopping area that has a distinctive Spanish flair. The Hispanic residents of Lynwood do their "regular" shopping here because of the abundance of you can find Spanish and Mexican food, clothing and other items in this busy marketplace. Plaza Mexico has been compared to Walt Disney World's Main Street, but with a distinct Mexican atmosphere. It is very authentic, without being "chintzy" or "touristy."

The Spanish theme is continued in many of the beautiful, but affordable homes found in Lynwood. Spanish influence can be seen in the architectural design of several of the residences, although there are plenty of modern/contemporary-style homes to choose from.

There are also some attractive town home properties in Lynwood. Most of these are two-story structures with very moderate prices. Town homes are often, the choice of residence for singles or small families, and Lynwood has several from which to choose.

Lynwood has twelve elementary schools and students attend the elementary school for which they are zoned, depending on where they live. From there, students go on to whichever of the three middle schools they are zoned for, then on to one of the three high schools that are located in Lynwood.
