Northridge is a community in the San Fernando region of Los Angeles. US-101 provides direct access for those who live in Northridge to Los Angeles. Northridge received national attention for 1994 earthquake, in which Northridge was the reported to be the epicenter. The actual epicenter was in nearby Reseda.

Northridge is home to Faith Bible Church. This church, built in 1917, is the oldest one in Northridge. Northridge also is the location of Studio 606 West. This recording studio is used by the Foo Fighters. If you are visiting the Northridge area at just the right time, you might catch a glimpse of this popular rock group as they enter or exit the studio.

Homes in the Northridge area are very moderately priced and are built in the modern/contemporary architectural style. There are also some town homes and apartment complexes available in Northridge. One of the apartment complexes is a very small (only six units) structure. The apartments are nice, and one has the added benefit of a little extra privacy that might otherwise not be available in a larger structure.

Children who live in Northridge attend the schools in the area that are served by the Los Angeles Unified School District. Balboa Magnet School is in Northridge. Chatsworth Hills Academy is a private school that is also in Northridge. Parents have the option of sending their children here, if they so choose.
