Panorama City, CA Real Estate

Panorama City is a district of Los Angeles. It is located in the San Fernando Region of Los Angeles County. It is bordered by Arleta on the north, Sun Valley on the east, Van Nuys on the south, and North Hills on the west. Major thoroughfares include Roscoe Boulevard, Van Nuys Boulevard, and Sepulveda Boulevard. The district is served by the San Diego and Hollywood freeways.

The area in and around Panorama City has many apple orchards, which supply apples not only to California, but also other parts of the United States. The owners of some of these orchards allow you to come out at certain times during the fall season, after the apples have begun to ripen, and pick your own.

Panorama City was developed as a planned community by industrialist Henry J. Kaiser. As originally planned, the community is a mixture of small single-family homes and low-rise apartment buildings. Homes throughout this region are mostly designed in the contemporary/modern architectural style. Apartment complexes, town homes and condominiums are also available. Many of the complexes, communities, or properties on which these residences are located offer their residents such things as on-site laundry facilities, off-street or other designated parking, and other perks.

Panorama City is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Five elementary schools, one middle school and one high school serve the children who live in Panorama City. In addition, there is a parochial school: St. Genevieve. It has a K-8 facility and a high school facility.
